Google Maps leads for home service contractors. We build your website and run your Google Business Profile.

How our contractor marketing agency works

First we show you where you rank. Then we fix it, and show you again every month.

Most business owners have never seen where they actually show up on Google Maps across their service area. Everything we do starts from that map, and it is how you check our work.

  • A free ranking report before you pay anything
  • About a week of setup, with very little needed from you
  • The same scan every month, so you can compare
  • A dedicated team, building websites and running ads since 2018
  • Month to monthNo long contract
  • You own your accountsDomain, Google profile, ad account
  • A report every monthSee what changed
  • Since 2018A dedicated team's experience

What happens, in order

Five steps. At each one, here is what we do and what we need from you.

  1. 1

    Before you pay

    Your free ranking report

You tell us your business and your city. We check where you rank on Google Maps from 25 spots around your business and show you the map, usually in under a minute.

    What we do

    • Find your business on Google
    • Scan 25 spots around it for a search your customers use
    • Show you the map and who is ahead of you

    What you do

    • Type your business name and city
    • Look at your map
  2. 2

    A 30-minute call

We walk through your map together

We explain what the map means, where you are losing calls, and what we would work on first. If we are not a fit for your trade or your market, we say so.

    What we do

    • Explain your map in plain words
    • Tell you which package fits, or that neither does
    • Answer every question about price, terms and what you own

    What you do

    • Pick a time that suits you
    • Tell us the jobs you want more of
  3. 3

    Week one

    We build

Your website, your Google Business Profile and your business listings are set up, along with the missed-call text-back and lead follow-up. Most setups take about a week.

    What we do

    • Design, write and build your website
    • Set up your Google Business Profile the way Google asks for
    • Start building your business listings
    • Turn on lead follow-up and, if you choose, missed-call text-back

    What you do

    • Add us as a Manager on your Google Business Profile. You stay the Owner.
    • Tell us where your domain is registered
    • Send your logo and 10 to 20 real photos of your work
    • List your services and the cities you serve
  4. 4

    End of week one

    You review, then we launch

You look everything over before it goes live. We change what you want changed. If you had a website before, every old page is redirected to its new home, so you do not lose what already worked.

    What we do

    • Make your changes
    • Redirect your old pages
    • Go live and test the forms and the call button

    What you do

    • Look it over and tell us what to change
  5. 5

    Every month

    Scan, fix, report

We scan your area again, work on whatever is holding you back most, build more listings, and send you a report with the new map. You see the movement for yourself.

    What we do

    • Scan your service area again
    • Work on the weakest part: profile, listings, website or reviews
    • Send the report: the map, what changed, what is next

    What you do

    • Keep doing good work and asking happy customers for a review
    • Send new job photos when you have them

Why a map, and not one ranking number

Google shows the businesses closest to the person searching. So you can be first near your shop and invisible in the next town, where half your jobs are. One number checked from one spot hides that. Each circle here is one spot in a service area, and the number is the rank there. Green is the top three.

  • Top three: customers call you
  • Lower down the list
  • Hard to find

What Google says decides your rank

Google names three things. We cannot change the first one. The work goes into the other two.

Distance

How far the business is from the person searching.

Nobody can move your customer. This is why your rank changes from one part of town to the next, and why we measure it on a map.

Cannot be changed

Relevance

How well your profile matches what the person is searching for.

The right categories and services on your Google Business Profile, complete and accurate details, and a website that says clearly what you do and where.

We work on this

Prominence

How well known the business is. Google says this is partly based on how many websites link to you and how many reviews you have.

Real reviews from real customers, a reply to each one, and correct business details everywhere customers look.

Shortcuts we will not take with your profile

Losing your Google profile is worse than ranking low. Some common tricks break Google's rules and can get a profile suspended, so we do not use them.

The shortcutWhat we do instead
Stuffing keywords or city names into your business name on Google.Your profile carries your real business name, the way it appears on your truck and your invoices. Google's rules require it.
Buying reviews, or offering a discount for one.We send honest review requests to real customers after the job. Google does not allow paid or rewarded reviews.
Only asking the happy customers for a review.Every customer gets the same request. Google's rules do not allow picking only the positive ones.
Listing a PO box or a virtual office as your address. If you travel to your customers, your profile is set up as a service-area business with the address hidden, as Google asks.
Promising you the number one spot.Google says there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking. We do the work and show you the map.

A report you can read in two minutes

Every month you get the new ranking map, what moved, what we worked on and what is next. Your own report uses your business, your area and your searches.

Questions about how it works

Straight answers before you send anything.

Most setups take about a week from the day we have what we need from you: access to your Google Business Profile, your logo and photos, and your list of services and cities.
It depends on your trade, your city and your competition, so we do not promise a date. Google takes time to pick up changes. You get a new map every month, so you can see the movement instead of taking our word for it.
A Manager invite to your Google Business Profile (you stay the Owner), where your domain is registered, your logo, 10 to 20 real photos of your work, and your services and service area. After that, new job photos now and then.
No. You add us as a Manager and you stay the Owner. You can remove our access at any time.
Because Google shows the closest relevant businesses to the person searching. Where the customer is standing changes the results, which is why we check many points instead of one.
No. Your phone shows results for where you are standing, and Google also knows your habits. The map shows what a customer sees from each spot in your service area.
Very little. Keep doing great work, ask happy customers for a review, and send us new photos when you have them. If we need a quick answer, we will ask.
We look at it first. Pages that already rank are kept, and every old page is redirected to its new home, so you do not lose what already works.
