Google Maps leads for home service contractors. We build your website and run your Google Business Profile.
DRAFT: pending legal review
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Wrenlocal collects on wrenlocal.com and through our services, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. In short: we collect what you give us so we can run your free ranking report, talk to you and do the work you hire us for; we use a small set of service providers to run the business; we do not sell your personal information; and you can ask us to see, correct or delete it at any time.
Wrenlocal is operated by [TODO: legal entity name and mailing address].
This policy covers visitors to wrenlocal.com, people who request a free ranking report, contact us or book a call, businesses we contact about our services, and clients. It is written for people in the United States, and our services are aimed at businesses.
When we work for a client, we may also handle information about the client's own customers and leads (for example a caller who receives a missed-call text, or someone who fills in a form on a website we built). In that case we act as a service provider for the client, and we use that information only to provide the service. The client's own privacy practices apply to their customers.
Free ranking report: your name, business name, phone number, email address (if you give it), your website or Google Business Profile link, your trade and your city.
Contact form and Book a call: your name, business details, phone number, email address, your message, your answers to the questions we ask (such as your trade, goals and timing) and the time slot you choose.
Clients: the information we need to do the work, including your business details, licence and insurance details where a platform asks for them, photos and text for your website, access to your Google Business Profile and other accounts, billing details (your payment card or bank details go to Stripe, not to us), and your communications with us.
Calls and messages: if you call, text or email us we keep a record of the conversation. Some calls may be recorded or transcribed; we will tell you at the start of a call if so.
When you visit the site, we and our analytics providers collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, how long you stayed, approximate location, the page that referred you, campaign tags in the link you clicked (such as utm_source), and what you click. We remember campaign tags for the length of your visit so we know which marketing brought you here, and we save them with a form if you submit one.
To make your ranking report, we collect public information about your business from Google, such as your business name, address, categories, reviews, photos and where your listing appears on the map in the area around you. We also use data providers for search and ranking data.
We may contact local businesses about our services using public business contact information, such as details published on a Google Business Profile, a company website or a business directory. If you ask us not to contact you, we will stop and keep your details on a do-not-contact list so that we do not contact you again.
When you request a report we use your business name and location to check where you appear on Google Maps from a grid of points around your business, and we show you the result on a page with a private link that we send to you. Anyone who has the link can open the page, so please do not share it if you do not want others to see it. We keep your report and the information in it so we can follow up with you and show you progress over time.
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only so they can provide their service to us. We do not allow them to use it for their own marketing. Our providers include:
We may also share information when the law requires it or to respond to a valid legal request, to protect our rights, safety or property or those of others, or as part of a merger, sale or transfer of some or all of our business. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising to others.
If you give us your phone number or email address, you agree that we may contact you about your request and about our services, including by automated means and by text message. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of buying anything. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out and HELP for help. You can also tell us you do not want to be contacted, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We use cookies and similar technology to run the site and for analytics and, when we turn it on, advertising measurement. Your browser also stores a small amount of information for the length of your visit so we can remember campaign tags. Videos from YouTube or Vimeo load only when you press play, and those providers may then set their own cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use the browser extensions and tools Google provides to opt out of Google Analytics, and manage Meta advertising choices in your Meta account settings. Blocking cookies may stop some parts of the site from working.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections and access limited to the people and providers who need it. Payments are handled by Stripe, which collects and stores payment card details under its own security standards and privacy policy; we do not store full card numbers on our own servers. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to give you a copy. You can also ask us to stop contacting you and to stop using your information for marketing. Depending on where you live, state privacy laws (for example in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and other states) may give you the right to know, access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of your personal information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, and not to be treated unfairly for using these rights.
To make a request, contact us through the form on our Contact page (wrenlocal.com/contact/). We may need to confirm your identity before we act. We will respond within 45 days, and tell you if we need more time. If we refuse a request you may appeal by replying to our answer, and you may also contact your state attorney general.
Our website and services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Our site links to other websites, such as Google. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
We and our providers process information in the United States. If you use the site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a material change, we will tell you on the site or by email.
Questions or requests about privacy: contact us through the form on our Contact page (wrenlocal.com/contact/).
